The Parable of the Polygons

A little interactive mathematical parable, designed to teach us all a lesson about diversity, segregation, and bias.  Play around with the shapist triangles and squares here:  http://ncase.me/polygons/

Read the article at the link above.  Play around with the interactive parts as you arrive at them.  Write a couple of paragraphs reflecting on your experience.  Explain how small biases can affect an overall population (“Small individual bias -> Large collective bias”).  What are some of the practical applications of understanding this mathematical truth and how can we take steps as a society to combat this issue?
