Scouting Players by Examining Their Brain Waves

NeuroscoutForget examining the numbers and data of the actual sport, as is the trend in Sports Analytics — what if scientists could gather data on an athlete before he or she even plays a game?  That’s what researchers at Columbia University are trying to do.  They are using EEG and fMRI to determine an athlete’s reaction and recognition/awareness speed.
